Top Tens

The aim over the next few months is to collect data on different top ten genres of Amiga public domain games starting with platform games.   Puzzle Games is the fifth genre to be added.  There will be 10 to produce a top 100 list of Amiga Public Domain games.

If the quality of games exist the list may then grow to contain a top 200 !!!

If you can't see a great Public Domain / Shareware - Puzzle game you used to play then added it to the comments box and I will try to add it to the list.

Below is AmigaPd's top ten Puzzle Games.  Don't agree with the list, then vote for your favourite in the poll on the right.  Know a good shoot em up, not included on the list, then use the comment box

Wizzy's Quest

A fantastic clone of Solomen's Key - Move your wizard around the screen creating a safe path for your fellow wizzard to walk safely to the exit.  Very addictive.

Jump Em

Move your cute bouncing character across the squares - each time you land on the square it disappears so you have to plan your route to the exit carefully.

Move Em

A simple idea to this game.  Move the blocks onto the coloured squares.  It may sound simple but as you get to the last blocks you realise you should have paid more attention when moving the earlier ones.  Cue lots of hair pulling and shouting at the screen.

PollyMorf

Another game with a simple idea.  This time you need to move the each ball to another ball of the same colour.  This results in the balls disappearing.  When all the balls have disappeared the level is cleared.  This game would have been higher but some of the earlier levels are soooooo frustrating.

Doctor Mario

Any puzzle top ten would not be complete without a tetris clone.  So here is one.  A good one at that.

Atomic

All you need to do in this game is alter the tracks so that the different coloured balls land on their corresponding coloured square. 

Colourmania

Move the tubes so that the paint falls into the containers waiting at the bottom of the screen. Simple. If only....

Falling Down

A fun puzzle game by Paul Huckstepp. Read more about Paul Huckstepp and his games in our interview section.
 

Marbles

A puzzle game recommended to Amigapd by a member of the EAB forum.

Rush Hour

Your chance to be a traffic controller.  Change the lights from red to green to keep the traffic flowing and jams to a minimum.
