Hi all, Graham Humphrey, of Downfall fame, has been busy working on a Dizzy type adventure for the Amiga. As yet the name of the game hasn't been confirmed, or the story or even the name of the main character. However, the most recent post by Graham suggests that the game is developing nicely and should be completed in the New Year! Follow, the game's development on Graham's facebook page. #PuttySquad - System 3 have given perhaps the best Christmas present to the Amiga community - they have released the full version of Putty Squad for free.
This link will take you to the announcement by System 3 and contains the disk images for download. Merry Christmas everyone, and I hope the game works and you have a fun time playing it. Attached with Ola's email containing the 2 disk version of Outpost - The Final Battle was also another game called Adam. This game is a fun game which will amuse for a few moments - the idea is to clear the screen by moving your Green dot to create blocks like Yelp. You have to be careful of the bouncing Yellow ball and the two red balls as well. To return to the start screen after being caught you need to press the right mouse button.
After many years of wondering and hoping on various Amiga Forums - Ola Zandelin has confirmed that he still has the original Outpost - Final Battle disks and that he is happy to make them available as Public Domain - enjoy.

Hi apologies for the lack of posts recently - I am currently working on a large Amiga PD project which I hope to share with you in 3 months time. In the meantime it is good to see that new Amiga games continue to appear. The latest one is Asgard Met Vikings - It is a simple mini game similar in style to the old Nintendo Game and watch series. You can download the disk image at the creators website. #Amiga - Stumbled across this website about an English version of an old French Shareware game. Below is an extract from the website where the author describes the game. The game and the original source code can be downloaded from the site too.
"Plouf! is a top-down game where players sit on floats, trying to sink the other players by throwing sea urchins at them. "Plouf!" is the French onomatopoeia for the sound made by an object when it falls into a liquid. You control your float like an RC car: you can accelerate, slow down and rotate left or right. The islands on the screen are randomly generated, so each game looks different. It only supports 2 or 3 players: I didn't have the skills to code a computer player by then. You start with a very limited number of sea urchins, so you need to collect them as they appear randomly in the sea. You can also grab float bonuses which increase the strength of your float by one point." |
